Politics Israel lifts restrictions on gatherings in many places

One day after the start of the ceasefire with the Hezbollah militia, Israel has lifted restrictions on gatherings in large parts of the country. Due to Hezbollah shelling, the responsible Home Front Command had limited the number of participants at indoor and outdoor meetings in many places in recent months.

These restrictions now no longer apply in the center of the country and in the area around Haifa in the north of the country. Larger events can now take place there again. In the greater area of the coastal metropolis of Tel Aviv, for example, only up to 2,000 people were previously allowed to gather.

In areas close to the border with Lebanon in northern Israel, restrictions are reportedly still in place. As a result, schools there will also remain closed.
