Following the Iranian missile attack, Israel has once again attacked the Lebanese capital Beirut in the fight against the Hezbollah militia.

The army attacked "terrorist targets in Beirut", the army announced early Wednesday morning. The military did not give any details at first. Israel had previously announced powerful attacks in the Middle East. The Iranian missile attacks had no impact on the operational capability of the air force, it said.

Iran had attacked Israel with numerous missiles on Tuesday. Most of them were intercepted by Israel and a US-led defense coalition, according to the Israeli military. One person was killed in the West Bank and two injured in Tel Aviv. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced retaliation. Israel will determine the time and place, he added.
