Politics Iran: Netanyahu in the arms of his supporters in the USA

Iran has sharply attacked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after his speech to the US Congress and condemned his friendly reception in the USA.

Nasser Kanaani, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Minister, accused Netanyahu of killing Palestinian children on a daily basis. He described him as the "butcher of Tel Aviv". Nevertheless, Netanyahu was received with applause by the US Congress, wrote Kanaani on Platform X. Netanyahu is lying in the arms of his supporters after nine months of "genocide".

Netanyahu was received with much applause during his speech to the US Congress on Wednesday, especially from the ranks of the Republicans. He defended the military action in the Gaza Strip and also verbally lashed out at Iran. He accused the government in Tehran, for example, of being practically behind all the terrorism and unrest in the Middle East. The real enemy of Iran, he said, was the USA as the guardian of Western civilization.

Since the start of the Gaza war following the Hamas terror attack on Israel on October 7, the decades-old conflict between Israel and Iran has come to a head. Israel finds itself under fire on several fronts following attacks by militias allied with Iran. Since the Iranian revolution of 1979, Israel and the USA have been considered arch-enemies of Iran.
