Voting Greens launch Yes campaign for the environmental responsibility initiative
Switzerland should only be allowed to consume as many resources as can be rebuilt naturally. One month before the referendum, the Yes campaign for the environmental responsibility initiative has been launched.

The initiative aims to change the economy and society, away from the pursuit of profit and towards the protection and preservation of the basis of life. On Thursday, representatives of the Young Greens, Greens and SP presented their arguments to the media in Bern. The vote will take place on February 9.
The earth's resources are limited and only as many pollutants should be released as the planet can bear, they said in a press release. The planetary boundaries are to be met within ten years.
"In view of the escalating environmental crises, we as a young party had no choice but to launch this initiative," Magdalena Erni, Co-President of the Young Greens, was quoted as saying. The economy must not continue to destroy the planet.
