Germany Global warming averaged over 1.5 degrees in 2024

The year 2024 was the first since measurements began in which it was on average over 1.5 degrees warmer than the pre-industrial average. This was reported by the Climate Change Service of the EU Copernicus program. However, the 1.5-degree target of the Paris Climate Agreement is not yet considered to have been missed, as this is based on a longer period of time.
