According to Palestinian reports, several people have again been killed in Israeli attacks throughout the Gaza Strip. Five people were killed in the cities of Gaza and Beit Lahia in the north and two more in Deir al-Balah in the center of the coastal area, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported.

It also reported that two Palestinians were killed near the southern city of Rafah. The information could not initially be independently verified.

Israel's army announced that it was continuing to take action against terrorist organizations in several areas of the Gaza Strip, including Beit Lahia and Rafah. "Over the past day, the troops have eliminated terrorists in close combat and targeted airstrikes and discovered large quantities of weapons," a military statement said.

These statements cannot be independently verified at present either. According to reports from the Gaza Strip, there are always many civilian victims of Israeli attacks.

According to army sources, the Israeli air force also killed several members of the terrorist organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in the Gaza Strip, including a man who is said to have been responsible for the group's rocket fire into Israeli territory from the city of Gaza.

The PIJ is still holding people kidnapped from Israel in the Gaza Strip. The group also released a new hostage video.
