US President Joe Biden wants to advocate continued support for Ukraine in the final weeks of his term of office. He will represent this position in Congress and to the future administration of Republican Donald Trump, said Biden's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on CBS. He reiterated that the US government intends to transfer all previously promised aid to Ukraine for the fight against the Russian invasion until the handover of power to Trump on January 20.

At the same time, Sullivan conceded that the sanctions have so far failed to stop the Russian war of aggression.
