US President Joe Biden insists on a de-escalation of the situation following the Israeli attacks in Iran. "I hope this is the end," he told reporters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He had spoken to representatives of the secret services and learned that the attacks had apparently been limited to military targets, the US President explained. He also confirmed that he had been informed about the attacks beforehand. This had previously been reported by the media.

On Saturday night, Israel launched the retaliatory attacks on Iran that had been expected for days. It is a response to the Iranian attack on October 1, in which Israel was bombarded with around 200 ballistic missiles.
