According to consistent Lebanese media reports, internally displaced persons from the eastern Bekaa Plain were housed in the building. According to the TV station TV Al-Jadid, 35 refugees from several families were staying there. The newspaper "L'Orient Le Jour" reported that residents had buried a young family member on Saturday. In parallel to the war in the Gaza Strip, Israel is also waging a war with the pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia in Lebanon.
