Ikea Switzerland has announced that it will raise the minimum wage for its employees. This decision particularly affects employees in sales, catering and logistics.

From January 1, 2025, the minimum wage will rise from CHF 4,000 to CHF 4,300. This increase of 7.5 percent also applies to employees without vocational training.

The company employs over 3500 people in Switzerland. A third of this workforce has been with Ikea for at least ten years.

Increase as part of the corporate strategy

The pay rise is part of Ikea Switzerland's strategy to continuously improve working conditions and increase employee satisfaction. This measure is also intended to increase the company's attractiveness as an employer.

Long-standing employees benefit

Long-serving employees who have been working for Ikea for a decade or more will particularly benefit from this pay rise. This underlines the company's commitment to retaining and promoting its experienced employees.
