USA FBI considers act in New Orleans an "act of terrorism" - driver dead

The New Orleans fatality driver who crashed a vehicle into a crowd of people early New Year's morning is dead. There was an exchange of gunfire between him and emergency services and the man has since died, according to concurring US media reports citing the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The agency considers the case to be an "act of terrorism".
