Diplomacy Cassis cancels his visit to the University of Fribourg

Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis has canceled his planned visit to the University of Fribourg on Tuesday for a panel discussion with his Slovakian counterpart Juraj Blanár. The reason for this is a call for a demonstration by several collectives for Palestine.

In order to guarantee the safety of the participants, the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) was even forced to cancel the entire event planned for this Tuesday at 3 pm.

The FDFA announced that the conditions for the smooth running of the event, which was to be held under the motto "A polarized world: challenges and opportunities for the rule of law and democracy", were not met.
