Fire Car burns out in Sonterswil TG

A car caught fire in Sonterswil TG late on Sunday evening. The driver was able to get to safety in time.

Shortly before 11 p.m., a 34-year-old driver was traveling from Sonterswil towards Kreuzlingen. While driving, he discovered smoke in the car. He stopped on the road, the Thurgau police reported on Monday.

The vehicle caught fire and the driver alerted the emergency call center. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire. No one was injured. The property damage amounted to several thousand francs. The cause of the fire is still being investigated. A technical defect is suspected.
