A 45-year-old Nigerian man was killed on Saturday morning during a violent argument between two men at Lausanne VD railroad station. According to initial findings, it was an argument between two brothers.

The Vaud cantonal police were informed at around 05.00 a.m. that a man was lying lifeless in the underpass of Lausanne railroad station, they announced on Tuesday. The police and paramedics were quickly on the scene and tried in vain to help the man.

The 45-year-old Nigerian was seriously injured and taken to Chuv University Hospital, where he died shortly afterwards. The police were able to arrest a 35-year-old Nigerian man at the scene. He was the victim's brother.

The public prosecutor's office launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the death. Investigators are currently assuming that it was a dispute between the two brothers.
