Federal votes A narrow majority is in favor of expanding the freeways

According to an initial SRG survey, a narrow majority of 51% approve of the highway expansion plans that will be put to the people on November 24. The uniform financing of the healthcare system and the new rules on subletting also meet with approval.

If the votes had already been held, 61% would have voted "definitely in favor" or "somewhat in favor" of uniform financing of the healthcare system. This is the clearest approval rate of the four votes, the research company gfs.bern, which conducts the survey for SRG, announced on Friday.

59% would approve of the new rules on subletting. The situation is most open with regard to the other rental proposal, it added. With regard to the new rules on terminating tenancies for personal use, 49% were in favor and 46% against.

Seven weeks before the vote, the state of opinion formation is at different stages. It is furthest along with the bill on highway expansion and the tenancy law bill on personal use.
