The economic data provider expects more money to be invested in energy transition technologies than in fossil fuels for the first time in 2025. Half of the money is likely to flow into solar projects.

The experts also anticipate high levels of investment in green hydrogen and technologies for removing and storing CO2. Nevertheless, the target of tripling renewable energy capacity by 2030 is likely to be missed, according to S&P Global.
