A 64-year-old man was killed in Liechtenstein on Saturday afternoon. According to police, the resident of the Principality was stabbed to death with a knife. Investigators suspect a relationship. A search is underway for a tall suspected perpetrator.

The National Emergency and Operations Center was informed of the incident on Rheindamm in Gamprin-Bendern by a witness at around 2.40 pm, the Liechtenstein National Police reported on Saturday evening. The exact course of events as well as the direction of escape and a possible getaway vehicle are still under investigation. There was no danger to the public at any time.

Together with the Institute of Forensic Medicine in St. Gallen, the National Police of the Principality of Liechtenstein is working on securing evidence and investigating the crime scene, it added.
