Hungarian rider Blanka Vas secures victory in the sprint on stage 5 of the Tour de France Femmes. After a crash, Dutch rider Demi Vollering has to relinquish the overall lead.

With her victory on the 152 km long stage from Bastogne to Amnéville, 22-year-old Vas ended the Dutch dominance of this year's Tour. The first four stages were all won by Dutch women.

One of the previous winners was Demi Vollering. The 27-year-old was one of those beaten in Amnéville, finishing 1:46 minutes behind after a mass crash 6 km before the finish. The Polish rider Katarzyna Niewiadoma, who took the maillot jaune from Vollering in 2nd place, was the beneficiary.

Noemi Rüegg did not get up to speed. After the withdrawal of Elise Chabbey, the only remaining Swiss rider in the field finished in 102nd place, almost five minutes behind the leader.
