LC Zurich successfully defended both the women's and men's titles from the previous year in the NLA competition of the Swiss club championships in Winterthur.

This was the 27th time that the Zurich club has celebrated an SVM double.

Numerous athletes of international caliber competed in the LCZ dress. First and foremost, William Reais (100 m, 200 m), Ricky Petrucciani (400 m, 4x100 m) and Yasmin Giger (400 m hurdles) competed for their club for the last time this season.

Three athletes from the Swiss Athletics Swiss Starters squad took part in the last competition of their careers in the Deutweg stadium. High jumper Salome Lang (Basel Regio), pole vaulter Dominik Alberto and long jumper Benjamin Gföhler (both LC Zurich) competed for Switzerland at numerous major international events.
