Switzerland miss out on their first ever European Championship semi-final on penalties, as they did three years ago. They were defeated by England after 120 minutes at 1:1.
The Swiss had taken the lead through Breel Embolo (75). Bukayo Saka (80) equalized five minutes later to make it 1-1.
Manuel Akanji was the only player to fail with his attempt in the penalty shoot-out.
