At the start, Häcki-Gross was still classified in 9th place over the 7.5 km distance in the far north of Finland. After a flawless prone shooting, two misses in the standing position put her back. In the final standings, Häcki-Gross lost just over a minute to the winner. Amy Baserga (40th), Aita Gasparin (47th), Elisa Gasparin (58th) and Susanna Meinen (77th) did not make it into the top 30. Despite one penalty, Germany's Franziska Preuss won ahead of France's Sophie Chauveau and Norway's Karoline Offigstad Knotten. Among those beaten was Elvira Öberg from Sweden, who lost her lead in the overall World Cup to Preuss after four misses and 25th place.
