Coach Ludovic Magnin's 100th game on the Lausanne-Sport touchline is likely to live long in the memory. After all, the 45-year-old saw his team put in a composed performance against his former club, where he worked from February 2018 to October 2020 and held his first post as head coach in professional football.

Alban Ajdini was the match-winner with two goals and an assist. The 25-year-old striker stole the ball from Antonio Marchesano after a quarter of an hour and set up Koba Koindredi. The loanee from Sporting Lisbon scored for the first time for the Vaud side. In the second half, Ajdini added his third and fourth goals of the season (64/73). It was his second brace in the Super League. He had already scored the first against FCZ, back in March while still in the service of Lausanne's city rivals Ouchy.

The Zurich side, who were short of substitutes, had a lot to play for. In the end, only one shot on goal was recorded in the statistics. But Jonathan Okita also failed to put the ball in the net in stoppage time. Zurich have now gone five games without a win in the Super League. Lausanne, on the other hand, went their fifth home game in a row without conceding a goal.

The Vaud side overtook FCZ on goal difference and now occupy 4th place.
