Zurich clubs GCK Lions and Winterthur are battling it out for the last ticket to the quarter-finals. The ZSC Lions' farm team has a three-point lead.
In the battle for the qualification win, La Chaux-de-Fonds, the B champions of the last two years, are slightly in pole position with 92:91 points over Basel. They are followed in third to seventh place by Thurgau, Visp, Sierre, Olten and Chur, who were also confirmed as play-off contenders on Thursday.
For the bottom-placed Bellinzona Rockets, the season comes to an end after qualifying, as no relegation is determined.
