Fabian Rieder is lost for words after the quarter-final against Italy (2:0). Manuel Akanji also sees the support of the fans as a reason for the excellent performance.

Fabian Rieder: "Words are still missing at the moment. The most important game of my career so far. We put in an incredible performance as a team. Everyone went for everyone else. The mechanisms were great, we harmonized well, defensively and offensively. We want to enjoy it now. But it's clear that we don't want to get too caught up in the euphoria, we want to keep working hard for the next game."

Manuel Akanji: "The support has been there since the first game and we can feel it on the pitch. We try to give everything back to the fans. We put in another great performance today and deserved to progress. Sure, they had more possession in the second half. But apart from a few misunderstandings, we didn't concede much. We were compact as a team but could have done a bit better in a few situations to provide more relief."
