Patrick Bloch (39) is switching from ice hockey to floorball. The business economist will take over the position of Managing Director at swiss unihockey on April 1, 2025, replacing Michael Zoss, who is stepping down.
Bloch, who was no longer acceptable to the now resigned association president Stefan Schärer as CEO of the ice hockey association, is an ideal solution for the university hockey association to succeed Michael Zoss, who worked for swiss unihockey for nine years. The former professional ice hockey player Bloch joined HC Thurgau as head of finance in 2013 (while still an active player). Two years later, the Grisons native became managing director at Thurgau; in 2019, he moved to the ice hockey association as CEO.
"Patrick Bloch knows the Swiss sports world and brings a wealth of expertise in managing a sports organization," says Daniel Bareiss, Central President of the floorball association. And Bloch is looking forward to "further promoting floorball in Switzerland".
