No three points again for Young Boys: The Swiss champions only managed a 2-2 draw in Yverdon and are still without a win after the fifth match of the season.

YB coach Patrick Rahmen saw a similar scenario to the previous weekend against FC Zurich. An early deficit was followed by a turnaround, only to finally have to concede the equalizer. Two returnees were responsible for the final turnaround - one wanted, the other not.

For Young Boys, it was Mohamed Ali Camara, who made his first appearance of the season after injury. He gave Yverdon striker Kevin Carlos too much freedom when the score was 0:1 after less than five minutes. It paid off for the Vaud side that no club had yet been found willing to pay the two million francs demanded for the Spanish attacker.

Kevin Carlos remained dangerous for the shaky YB defense and Camara remained unsure in his own defense. After Silvère Ganvoula had quickly made it 1:1 (9') and Yverdon's Boris Cespedes had almost single-handedly given Bern the lead with a misplaced pass followed by an own goal (49'), Camara committed a brutal foul on Carlos. This was rightly punished with a red card in the 61st minute.

The successful returnee then made an appearance in overtime. Frenchman Marley Aké, who had already played for the Vaud side last term and returned to Yverdon from Juventus Turin this week, scored with his head in the 79th minute to make it 2-2. Yverdon then came closer than YB to scoring a third goal. Young Ahmedin Avdic hit the post in the 90th minute.

YB will next play FC Printse-Nendaz from the 2nd division in the Cup next Saturday. The two matches in the Champions League play-offs against Galatasaray Istanbul are then already scheduled. In the Super League, Bern will not be back in action until August 31st against Lausanne-Sport.
