EHC Visp has to look for a new head coach. Heinz Ehlers will leave the team at the end of the current season and return to his native Denmark.

The Swiss League club announced this on its website.

Before coming to Visp in the summer of 2023, the 58-year-old Ehlers had also been on the boards in the National League in Biel, Lausanne and Langnau, among others. The father of Nikolaj Ehlers, Nino Niederreiter's NHL teammate at Winnipeg, was also the Danish national team coach from 2018 to 2023.
