It was Embolo's first goal since the end of October. The Swiss international only came on after 63 minutes and scored with a header eight minutes before the end. He was the only one of the Swiss trio to make an appearance for Monegasque. Goalkeeper Philipp Köhn remained on the bench, as did midfielder Denis Zakaria. Vincent Sierro was substituted for Toulouse after 70 minutes.
Monaco remain five points behind Paris Saint-Germain in first place.
