Much more serious than the defeat was the fact that director Manuel Zehnder, the Swiss team's most important player in attack, had to be carried off the pitch injured in the 42nd minute. His screams had echoed through the hall beforehand, giving rise to fears of the worst. If Manuel Zehnder is ruled out for the World Championships in Croatia, Denmark and Norway, which begin on January 14, it would be a huge loss for the SHV team.
