Thanks to a 2:1 home win after overtime against Lugano, HC Davos goes into the national team break as league leaders. It replaces the ZSC Lions as the leader.

Davos scored 90 goals in the first 27 games of the season. The Grisons' offensive output faltered at the weekend. On Saturday in Ambri (0:1) they were held scoreless for the second time this season, on Sunday against Lugano the HCD only managed one goal in regulation time - Valentin Nussbaumer was successful in the 31st minute after a beautiful solo run. This took its revenge, as Lugano managed to equalize in the 59th minute when they were without a goalie. Luca Fazzini scored the equalizer after Calvin Thürkauf had won a face-off.

The fact that Davos also won their second home game of the season against Lugano in the end was down to defenceman Julius Honka, who scored for the ninth time in the current championship after 92 seconds of overtime after a pass from Filip Zadina from close range. Davos are now two points ahead of the Lions, although they have played three games less. Lugano are still twelfth after their sixth defeat in the last seven games.
