If you're tired of dating apps, you can be set up by professional matchmakers. One of them is Elena Sachs, who brings soul mates together with her company.
No time? blue News summarizes for you
- Elena Sachs brings couples together with Match Maison. She is a certified dating coach and matchmaker.
- An active membership costs 12,000 francs a year. The in-depth analysis and time-consuming search as well as the complex recruiting have their price, says Sachs.
- According to the professional matchmaker, a long-term relationship is only guaranteed if the personal values and relationship goals match.
- Sachs is convinced of her craft; she herself also found her partner through a matchmaker.
Still haven't found the love of your life and don't fancy endless swiping?
Maybe it's worth putting your happiness in the hands of a professional matchmaker: Elena Sachs has been bringing couples together since October 2023.
"I make the pre-selection and match according to values and relationship goals. Only if enough of these match can a long-term relationship work," explains the certified dating coach and matchmaker.
Matchmakers cost up to 100,000 dollars
For Sachs to actively play Cupid, however, she needs a membership that starts at 12,000 francs a year and is tailored to the individual needs of her clients. "My customers aren't really surprised by the cost. Matchmaking has its price; in the USA, for example, there are matchmakers who charge up to 100,000 dollars, depending on the additional services."
What kind of clientele uses Sachs' services? "Many of my clients are successful and passionate about life," explains the 32-year-old German, who held various positions in client relations before becoming self-employed.
What's more, her clients have a very international outlook and have often lived in several countries. Most of them live in Switzerland or London.
The professional matchmaker, who was herself a client of a matchmaking agency, adds: "It's not just millionaires who come to me. You don't need a minimum salary to be a matchmaking client and people from all salary brackets come to me."
The common denominator is always academic training. "Many clients attach importance to an academic degree because they want an exchange on an intellectual level."
In terms of price, you always have to bear in mind that in Switzerland - compared to other countries - there is "a certain salary level" and the service is therefore accessible to more people. However, Sachs is primarily interested in offering a modern alternative to dating apps. Data should not turn out to be a waste of time for her customers, but an investment in their future together.
Clear analysis of personality and values
When someone registers with Sachs' Match Maison, the first step is to analyze the person. "It's about recognizing their attitudes and perspectives in terms of family, career, health, fitness, finances and religion. I get a clear picture of my client's personality, their relationship goals and individual preferences."
This is also the big difference to dating apps, which guarantees more success. Sachs says: "If you meet someone via an app, you don't know in advance what their values are and whether you share them."
Just as you can usually use filters online, the matchmaker filters manually for her clients in real life. Ultimately, this means that only two people who have the same values and goals for the future, such as having children, will meet.
Matchmaker: "Thanks to me, she believes in soul mates"
In addition to matchmaking, Sachs also offers date coaching. In other words, a complete all-round package that includes the professional matchmaker not only playing Cupid, but also always being available for advice during the dating and relationship and accompanying the entire process.
"I'm particularly proud of one customer. I would say she is my best match so far: a woman in her early 40s who wants another child.
In an emotional phone call, she told me "that she believes for the first time that there is such a thing as soul mates," says Sachs, visibly moved. Her customer and her match had already been on vacation together.
As Match Maison is still a very young company, most couples have only been dating for a few months. "But I've already been able to bring a few lovebirds together." Sachs is currently the only matchmaker at Match Maison.
If you don't have 12,000 francs on your side to invest in a matchmaker, you can also sign up for a free passive membership. This means you can still be matched if there are suitable active customers.
Talk to someone in real life again
What is important when looking for the right person? "The most important thing is openness and positivity," says Sachs. According to the expert, if you want to fall in love, you shouldn't be too uptight about just one guy, but put out feelers. "It's worth dating outside of your usual type."
According to reports from her clients, Sachs knows how difficult it is these days to meet someone who really suits you. She has also noticed a certain dating fatigue. "Many people who come to me confide in me that they no longer use dating apps because it's too stressful or they've had bad experiences," reports Sachs.
The professional matchmaker encourages people to actively approach people again in real life. "It may be a challenge, but it's worth it."
Perhaps the European Championship public viewings are a good and relaxed setting to approach someone.
