Following his great gold success in Paris, Olympic sprint champion Noah Lyles has become engaged to track and field athlete Junelle Bromfield. The American announced the marriage proposal on the Instagram platform. Lyles won gold in the 100 meters in Paris in the summer.

In a video, the 27-year-old got down on one knee in front of the Jamaican sprinter and asked for his partner's hand in marriage. Behind it was a huge heart with the message: "Will you marry me?" Afterwards, both athletes celebrated with friends. According to a media report in the New York Post, the couple have been together since 2022.

Last summer, Lyles won bronze in the 200 meters in addition to his Olympic victory. However, he was not in top form: He had previously contracted the corona virus and competed with the infection. In his home town of Alexandria in the US state of Virgina, Lyles was publicly celebrated for his success almost three weeks ago.
