Shirin David, who is known for her reticence in private matters, will be featured in a Netflix documentary next year. The streaming service plans to provide exclusive insights into the life of the 29-year-old rapper and entrepreneur.
Insights into everyday life
Filming is largely complete and the cameras have been following Shirin for months to paint an authentic picture of her life. "Never before have I let a team get so close to me and my family," she told the German Press Agency. According to 'Bild', the documentary will be released in several parts. After the Kaulitz twins, Shirin is the second German to receive her own Netflix documentary. A planned collaboration with Helene Fischer recently fell through, allegedly due to differences over the final cut.
More than just music
The documentary will also shed light on Shirin's business activities. Known for her iced tea Dirtea and her perfume line, the Hamburg-born singer now earns more from her business ventures than from her music. In an interview with 'Forbes', she explained: "I don't show this side of my life that often, but I spend a lot of time there. 60% of my time is actually spent on office tasks: Zoom calls, meetings, arrangements in our Whatsapp group - that's my everyday life." These facets of her life will soon be available on Netflix.
