Former Miss Switzerland Winiger will host the awards ceremony for the tenth time, as the organizers announced on Thursday. The presenter, who has also made a name for herself as an actress, has a passion for music. Annina Frey, former presenter of the SRF program "Glanz und Gloria" and DJ, will host the Swiss Music Awards for the third time.
At the Swiss Music Awards, musicians are honored for their work in the previous year - both established artists and newcomers. At the 18th edition, awards will be presented in ten national and four international categories. The categories "Best Female Act" and "Best Male Act" will be merged for the first time. The "Best Solo Act National" will now be awarded, according to the organizers. This is in line with the international standard.
The Swiss Music Awards will take place this year on May 28 in Zurich's Hallenstadion and will be broadcast live on 3+.
