Peter Lohmeyer, known from Das Wunder von Bern, has had another offspring at the age of 62. At a gala in Bochum, he revealed that he has become the father of a son. His youngest daughter is already 29 years old.
An unexpected experience on the train
At the event, Lohmeyer recounted an amusing incident: "My girlfriend and I were sitting in the family compartment on the train on the way here, my new son was with us, 7 months old, which is always a bit stressful," he reported according to Bild. "The conductor didn't believe that I was the father. Then he saw the child - then it was clear..." The child's mother is journalist Leonie Seifert. Sleepless nights, which many parents of newborns are familiar with, are not a problem for Lohmeyer: "Not so bad. I still get enough sleep, that's not a problem."
Connected to the Ruhr region
Lohmeyer did not want to reveal the name of his youngest son. At the gala, he was awarded the Brost Ruhr Prize together with his colleagues Armin Rohde, Joachim Krol and Dietmar Bär. They received this honor for their commitment as ambassadors of the Ruhr region. Although Lohmeyer now lives in Hamburg, he still feels connected to the region: "For me, this is coming home." The long-standing friendship with his colleagues, which has existed since the beginning of their acting careers, made the evening particularly emotional.
