A few months before the start of her world tour "Tension", Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue is ramping up the excitement among her fans. With her new album "Tension II", Minogue is following up unusually quickly just one year after the release of its predecessor "Tension".

"Tension II" features nine first releases, including "Lights Camera Action", as well as collaborations with other stars such as Australian singer and songwriter Sia. The album will be released on October 18.

Minogue said in an interview with the AFP news agency that the fast pace was not actually planned. She had never done anything like this before, but "after the production of 'Tension' we still had so many songs", she said. "So I said: let's make another album."

Another reason for the fast pace was last year's super hit "Padam Padam", which "opened new doors" for her, Minogue continued. "Writers and producers have sent me songs," said the 56-year-old. Many opportunities have arisen.

She describes her state of mind before the start of the tour in February next year as a mixture of "adrenaline, excitement and nervousness". "We'll be playing lots of places and I haven't done that for many years." According to her label BMG, this is Minogue's biggest tour in 14 years. In Switzerland, she will take to the stage at Zurich's Hallenstadion on July 6, 2025.

After a career spanning more than 30 years and numerous hits, she says she loves music more than ever. "I understand it better. I understand myself better. I understand what I can convey with it, how I can interpret the songs." It is completely different to when she started her career. As a 19-year-old, "I was a baby and just sang what was put in front of me."
