The successful entrepreneur Tomaso Trussardi gives an insight into his personal journey, which was characterized by family tragedies and professional challenges far away from the fashion world.

In an interview, Tomaso Trussardi (41) talks about his past, which was characterized by great sorrow, but in which a strong and determined work ethic always played a major role.

The ex-husband of Michelle Hunziker (47) was born into the famous Trussardi family. Tomaso Trussardi lost his father Nicola at the age of 15 and his brother Francesco at 18 - both in car accidents.

These losses had a strong impact on his life, as he confessed in a video by Giacomo Freddi. "People tell me I'm a daddy's boy, and that makes me laugh," he comments bitterly. "I lost my father when I was 15 and my brother when I was 18."

Trussardi has not always been in the fashion industry

Even at a young age, Trussardi took on jobs that had nothing to do with the fashion world. At 21, he was an assistant to Manfredi Catella, the head of urban development in Milan, while also writing as a journalist for the Italian daily newspaper "Libero". "Two professions that had nothing to do with my surname, that couldn't be decisive," he says.

After dropping out of his philosophy studies, which he loved, he enrolled in economics and completed a master's degree in corporate finance and banking, admitting that these experiences had probably prepared him for future events, even if they did not match his passion.

It was only later that Tomaso began working in the family business: "I learned by observing the production cycles from purchasing to sales, and was first appointed managing director of the production company and then of the entire company."
