Shepherd Heinrich, known from the show Bauer sucht Frau, found unexpected help in Mallorca during a difficult time. He appeared in Upper Bavaria in the summer and was enthusiastically received by his fans.
A disease threatens the herd
The appearances on the island were a financial rescue for the 57-year-old and his farm. His flock of sheep was suffering from bluetongue disease, which is often fatal. "It's painful to watch. So far I've only been able to save one ram," the singing shepherd told Bild. But thanks to his appearances on the Ballermann, he was still able to end the season on a positive note.
Success on stage
In Upper Bavaria, the fan choirs drowned out his singing, Schäfer Heinrich proudly told RTL. "That's something to be really proud of." The income from the performances helped to compensate for the difficult season with the sheep. "I make music to keep my sheep because I love animals. I love people, animals and nature," explained the shepherd. For the coming year, he promises new music from the pasture: "We're going into a good season. New songs are planned."
