Yearwood will then unveil the 2805th star plaque on the famous sidewalk. Her country colleagues Reba McEntire and Carly Pearce have been invited as guest speakers.

The country icon had immediate success with her debut album "Trisha Yearwood" in 1991. Songs such as "She's in Love with the Boy", "Walkaway Joe", "Thinkin' About You" and "Perfect Love" became hits over the course of her career. Her albums have sold millions of copies. She also has fans as the author of cookbooks with recipes from the US South.

Yearwood is in her third marriage to country star Garth Brooks. The couple tied the knot in 2005. Brooks had previously publicly asked his girlfriend to marry him at a show in front of 7,000 country music fans.

The "Walk of Fame" has been honoring achievements in show business since 1960. The route on Hollywood Boulevard, in which the star-shaped plaques are embedded, runs right through the center of Hollywood.
