A new rule on "The Voice of Germany" is causing a row among the coaches. In yesterday's show, "Tokio Hotel" singer Bill Kaulitz and Irish singer Ronan Keating sometimes clashed violently.

  • A new rule on "The Voice of Germany " is causing trouble among the coaches Shirin David, Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Ronan Keating and Giovanni Zarrella.
  • In particular, the Kaulitz twins and Irish singer Ronan Keating clash time and again.
  • Bill Kaulitz is clearly struggling with the new elimination format. At one point, the 34-year-old says: "I never thought it would affect us so emotionally."

When it was announced last September that Ronan Keating would be a coach on the TV show "The Voice of Germany" this fall, his fans were delighted.

During the blind auditions, the Irish musician showed his charming side. The 46-year-old became more and more of a favorite among viewers.

But now a new rule at " The Voice" is causing the coaches to get into each other's hair. And that's what it's all about: During the "team fights", the coaches' talents challenge each other to get a "hot seat" - as was the case last night.

Bill Kaulitz is clearly struggling with the elimination format

The new rule on "The Voice" is that no one is safe in the so-called "Hot Seats", as the next challenge can mean the end for a talent after the audience vote.

This is not only a thrill for the singing talents, but also for the coaches Shirin David, Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Ronan Keating and Giovanni Zarrella.

At the start of the "Teamfights" show, the four "hot seats" are divided equally among the coaches. That changes very quickly - as one talent after the other challenges their rivals.

Bill Kaulitz is clearly struggling with the new elimination format. At one point, the 34-year-old says: "I never thought it would be so emotionally draining."

Bill Kaulitz: "I take it super personally, Ronan"

The evening gets even tougher. When Ronan Keating challenges contestant Sebastian from Tom and Bill Kaulitz's Team Toll with his talent Alex, the situation in the TV studio gets really nasty.

"I always take it super personally, Ronan," says Bill Kaulitz, offended, although Ronan Keating doesn't manage to snatch a "Hot Seat" away from Team Toll in the episode.

But the next danger is already looming, because now Shirin David is challenging the Kaulitz twins. The culprit is none other than: Ronan Keating

Before that, the Irish singer tells the German rapper that she should definitely choose a contestant from Team Toll as her opponent: "Bill and Tom have two seats. Don't forget that!"

"Ronny, now it's getting dirty here," commented a visibly angry Bill Kaulitz.

Tom Kaulitz: "That's not meant personally"

As a result, contestant Sebastian is indeed chosen as the opponent once again, while Bill Kaulitz complains: "We're being attacked without end today."

Shortly afterwards, coach Shirin David rejoices: her contestant Richard snatches a "Hot Seat" from the Kaulitz twins.

The twins' revenge follows promptly: with their talent Marc Altergott, they want to take the "Hot Seat" back from Richard. Bill Kaulitz is delighted with this plan, while his brother Tom tries to appease Shirin: "It's not personal."

It is immediately clear to everyone that this is not entirely true: "There was also a bit of revenge involved. Of course we take it a bit personally," says Bill Kaulitz.

Bill Kaulitz: "What? Excuse me? I'm leaving in a minute!"

After contestant Marc has performed the song "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys and the audience vote is due, Tom Kaulitz is so nervous that even presenter Thore Schölermann notices: "Tom, you look all fuzzy."

But the show is not over yet. Shortly afterwards, the voting group - a representative and neutral group of viewers in the TV studio - decides that Shirin's talent Richard has to vacate his "hot seat", while Bill and Tom Kaulitz get their "hot seat" back with Marc.

An action that Shirin David doesn't find funny at all: "I'm no longer approachable from today." Bill Kaulitz, on the other hand, is beaming - until a moment later his features slip away again.

This time Ronan Keating attacks again, with his candidate Anne. Bill Kaulitz's mood has reached rock bottom: "What? Excuse me? I'm leaving in a minute! I really resent him now."

Giovanni Zarrella: "Today was a brutal day"

Well then, last night on "The Voice of Germany" apparently left its mark on all the coaches. Shortly before the end of the show, Bill Kaulitz said, exasperated: "I need a break now. I can't take any more."

Of all the coaches, the Kaulitz twins had the most to laugh about in the end: after last night's show, they are sending two talents through to the semi-finals.

Giovanni Zarrella, on the other hand, came away completely empty-handed. His talents did not win a single "Hot Seat". The entertainer summed up his frustration: "Today was a brutal day. We entered the race with three talents and none of them made it to the semi-finals."
