  • blue News met the likeable 20-year-old for an interview before his performance on the lakeside promenade.
  • In the interview, the artist raves about Switzerland and talks about how important privacy is to him.

His career took off on TikTok, where he delighted his followers with cover songs. He now has 6.4 million fans who love Henry Moodie for his profound and sensitive lyrics and catchy sounds. In his lyrics, he addresses heartache, vulnerability, fears, longings, dreams and hopes, speaking from the souls of an entire generation.

He learned to talk about his feelings from his mother, who is a therapist and taught him how to channel his emotions. Today, he does this with music - which touches countless people. He keeps his private life largely private. In an interview with blue News, the singer-songwriter says: "It scares me a bit when people know too much about your life. It's important to me to have my privacy."

The likeable Englishman describes himself as the biggest Swiftie and in an interview he once revealed that he suffers from trypophobia - a fear of small holes. He rarely gives much more insight into his private life.

Henry Moodie enjoys Swiss nature

At the end of June, the newcomer performed songs such as "drunk text" and "you were there for me" at the St. Gallen Openair. Between this performance and his second gig in Switzerland, he didn't travel home but stayed in our beautiful homeland.

And he is particularly fond of Lake Geneva: "Montreux is such a beautiful place. I want to live here."

During his time in Switzerland, he traveled around a bit, hiked a lot and simply enjoyed his time outdoors in nature.

Before his performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Henry Moodie raves about Lauren Spencer Smith, who will be on the Casino stage right after him. In the video, he reveals where he will be watching tomorrow's European Championship match between Switzerland and England and that Ed Sheeran is actually much smaller than he thought.

Live music lovers should make a note of two dates in their diaries for tonight: At 8.30 pm, Henry Moodie's concert will be broadcast on free TV on blue Zoom and simultaneously online here. And it gets even better: right afterwards, at 10 pm, the show by the powerful-voiced US musician Jon Batiste will follow.
