  • Thomas Anders makes fun of Dieter Bohlen's singing skills in the latest episode of his podcast.
  • As Modern Talking, the duo once performed together on stage and sang hits such as "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" and "Brother Louie".
  • In the meantime, the Anders/Bohlen duo hardly have anything in common any more, instead they regularly lash out at each other with unsightly regularity.

"Why is he doing this to himself? That's not good." Thomas Anders recently commented on the singing skills of his former Modern Talking colleague Dieter Bohlen in his podcast "Modern Talking - Einfach Anders".

As a pop music duo, the two musicians once performed together on stage and sang hits such as "You're My Heart, You're My Soul", "Brother Louie" and "Cheri Cheri Lady".

Modern Talking sold more records in the 80s than any other German band. The duo made music history and were an integral part of the hit parade at the time.

Thomas Anders: "Dieter Bohlen never sang"

In the meantime, the two musicians have hardly anything in common any more, instead they have been lashing out at each other with unpleasant regularity. Anders is currently making fun of Bohlen's singing skills in his podcast.

One listener wants to know from the 60-year-old singer whether Bohlen really sang himself on Modern Talking. "Actually, only Dieter Bohlen himself knows that," says Anders. "Well, he's never sung in my studio."

But now that he is following his former stage partner 's current tour, it is just as well that he has never done so.

On the other hand, he finds it totally courageous, Andres continues, "that Bohlen is now going on stage and saying: I'm the greatest." Anyone who runs a business model like that must have a lot of self-confidence.

Thomas Anders: "I couldn't care less about him"

When asked whether he feels sorry for Bohlen or is ashamed of him from time to time, Anders replies: "No, I don't do that. I don't stalk him either. I couldn't care less about him."

Thomas Anders can't understand why a person like Dieter Bohlen, who repeatedly outwardly flaunts his quality standards in such a slippery way, can enter such slippery territory.

"Why is he doing this to himself? Not even a talk show in Mongolia would let you go on with such singing skills. What's the point?"

It's quite possible that this question will soon be answered by Dieter Bohlen himself.
