Many people dream of living within their own four walls. Singer Luca and dancer Christina Hänni got down to business in the fall of 2021 and bought their dream home near Thun.

The couple were finally able to move in this summer. Before that, some renovation and conversion work was necessary - including knocking down several walls.

The couple have now opened the doors of their new home for a video from a German furniture store.

Christina Hänni: "Switzerland feels like a vacation"

Luca and Christina Hänni don't just show off their love nest in the video. They also talk openly about their relationship. The couple met on the TV show "Let's Dance" in 2020. Christina Hänni was Hänni's dance teacher and partner.

Luca and Christina Hänni have completely renovated their house, which is 40 years old. Today, because there are hardly any walls left, you can enjoy the view of Lake Thun and the Bernese Oberland from almost everywhere.

"It was half love at first sight," says Christina Hänni. "We both really liked each other, that's for sure," adds Luca Hänni.

Love had to develop first. After all, they also had something to do and therefore didn't have as much time "to flirt".

Christina Hänni moved to Switzerland a year ago. She says in the video that it was a big adjustment at first. But she now feels very much at home.

"Life in Switzerland feels like a vacation," says the dancer. It may also have something to do with the fact that the couple often travel around the Thun region on their Vespa.

Luca Hänni: "A long journey, but it was worth it"

The Hännis have completely renovated their house, which is 40 years old. "It was a long journey, but it was worth it," says Luca Hänni. The heart of the house is the kitchen.

"We moved the couch at least ten or twenty times and tried out all the possibilities." Christina Hänni on the biggest problem when furnishing the house.

Everything used to be very cramped, says Luca Hänni. Today, because there are hardly any walls in the house, you can enjoy the wonderful view of Lake Thun and the Bernese Oberland from almost anywhere - and of course from the terrace, where a whirlpool invites you to splash around.

There was most discussion during the furnishing phase about the location of the couch. The question was: should the seating be positioned so that the view can be enjoyed or should you look into the house because that's where the TV is?

"We moved the couch at least ten to twenty times and tried out all the options," says Christina Hänni. The couch is now positioned so that anyone sitting on it can see into the house.

The musician fulfilled his dream in the basement

In the basement of the house, musician Hänni was able to fulfill his big dream: a music room. "When Luca is in the music room," his wife reveals in the video, "it can get very loud."

She sometimes has the feeling that her husband has no ears at all. "But he's forgiven if good songs come out of it," Christina Hänni adds with a laugh.
