"Gstaad has too little snow" James Blunt invites Robbie Williams to ski in Valais

James Blunt loves Switzerland. And especially Valais. The singer has been spending the winter months in Verbier VS for 16 years. He owns a chalet there.
"I love skiing and the mountains in Switzerland. The country is one of the most beautiful in the world," enthuses the British singer in an interview with "20 Minuten".
The 49-year-old is impressed by the punctuality of public transport in this country and the down-to-earth attitude of the Swiss.
According to Blunt, this allows him to lead a normal life. "When I performed at the Hallenstadion two years ago, I drove to Zurich myself. Then I stayed overnight with friends and drove back the next day"
James Blunt: "Robbie Williams always copies me"
Another British celebrity recently settled in the Swiss mountains: Robbie Williams and his family moved to Gstaad in the Bernese Oberland.
Naturally, James Blunt has also noticed. In an interview with "20 Minuten", he jokes: "He's always copying me."
Robbie Williams of course knows that he also lives in Switzerland, but "I don't persuade my celebrity friends to move in with me. I want the country to remain an insider tip."
Now that Williams is here, they will certainly meet up. "He has to come to Verbier to ski because there's not enough snow in Gstaad," says Blunt.
But then immediately adds: "Apart from that, Gstaad is very beautiful and I can well imagine visiting him."
James Blunt: "Only know a few High German words"
James Blunt says in "20 Minuten" that his family also likes it in Valais. His two children go to school in Verbier and speak fluent French.
He also speaks the language himself, as his mother is Belgian. However, he still struggles with Valais German. "I only know a few High German words, but I don't speak any dialect," admits Blunt.
Nevertheless, she says, she manages to communicate with the people in Valais. "I know the people there and they know me. I really like this simplicity and warmth," enthuses the singer.
