A woman in the UK has been sentenced to 14 weeks in prison for sending pop star Harry Styles 8,000 cards in less than a month.

This was reported by the British news agency PA, citing a court in London. The 35-year-old had previously pleaded guilty to stalking the musician.

Stalker must avoid north-west London

According to the ruling, the woman must not seek contact with the 30-year-old musician ("Watermelon Sugar") for ten years and must not attend any events at which Styles performs.

The stalker must also avoid a certain area of north-west London.

According to PA, the Brazilian national had traveled to the UK in December without her family's knowledge and stayed in a backpacker hotel.

She had sent Styles handwritten messages as well as cards she ordered online - including wedding cards.
