- Lorent Berisha from Dierikon LU has made it to the live shows of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar".
- The 19-year-old made it through the recall thanks to the jury support of Dieter Bohlen, Katja Krasavice, Pietro Lombardi and Leony.
- Berisha not only dreams of winning "DSDS", he would also like to perform at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).
Swiss "DSDS" contestants have a good track record. Both Beatrice Egli and Luca Hänni have become an integral part of pop culture in German-speaking countries.
Lorent Berisha now wants to follow in their footsteps. The 19-year-old from Lucerne has made it to the final shows of this year's season of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar".
"It's been too long since Beatrice Egli and Luca Hänni won," Berisha tells blue News. "I want to finally bring the title back to Switzerland."
The medical practice assistant in training is currently preparing for his live debut on Saturday. He's not necessarily nervous about it: "At the moment, the anticipation is definitely outweighing the excitement. It's going to be mega cool."
Support in the comments
The support of his fans is also helping him to keep the excitement from getting out of hand. On social media, Berisha is one of the favorites for the show. There are hundreds of comments online praising his special voice. "I read through all the comments under my videos every evening and write back to most of my followers. It's an incredible feeling to receive this confirmation," says Berisha.
But the internet wouldn't be the internet if the 19-year-old didn't have to deal with hate comments. But he doesn't take the words of these "envious people", as Berisha calls them, to heart: "I stick to the old Swiss expression: Göschenen-Airolo."
On Saturday, the Lucerne native will have to convince the public. Beforehand, he had to rely on the goodwill of the jury consisting of pop titan Dieter Bohlen, rapper Katja Krasavice, singer Leony and pop star Pietro Lombardi. He has taken Leony in particular to his heart: "She always spreads positive vibes and supports me wherever she can."
He describes pop titan Bohlen as likeable - even though he described his voice as "funny" after the first performance. However, he doesn't want to say any more about the producer - and his scandals in particular.
Berisha does not yet want to imagine where his participation in "DSDS" will take him: "I would like to be a full-time musician. But I don't want to think any further than the live shows yet."
But he does have one big dream: "I want to sing for Switzerland at the ESC. Remo Forrer is the right choice for 2023. I think he'll do a great job. But I would like to get the points for us in 2024."
