  • Melanie Winiger and Annina Frey are the first female duo to host the Swiss Music Awards.
  • Winiger has hosted the show more times than any other previous presenter.
  • Frey, on the other hand, has many years of experience as host of the SRF program "Glanz & Gloria" - now "Gesichter und Geschichten".

This is the 17th edition of the Swiss Music Awards, which will take place on May 8, 2024. Tickets for the live show are already available here.

The most successful musicians will be honored at the event. The musical work of the previous year will be taken into account. Artists will be honored in twelve categories, and the show in the Hallenstadion will be accompanied by national and international performances.

Presenter Melanie Winiger (45) has been in the public eye for quite some time: she was voted the youngest Miss Switzerland in 1996, when she was just 17 years old.

Many years of experience between the two

With her success came several cinema and TV appearances ("Breakout", "Achtung, Fertig, Charlie"), she proved her skills as a presenter and the Ticino native was also on the road as a brand ambassador ("Coop Naturaline").

Annina Frey is also no stranger to success as a presenter: the 43-year-old from Basel was in front of the camera for many years on the SRF people magazine "Glanz & Gloria". However, she has now retired from the world of TV and is devoting herself to her passion for music - as "FREYA" she is involved in the industry as a music producer and DJ.

The live broadcast of the Swiss Music Awards will take place on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at 8.15 p.m. exclusively on 3+.
