Bill Kaulitz and his twin brother Tom, known from the band Tokio Hotel, have made a comfortable life for themselves in the USA. Thanks to their green card, they were able to settle there. But now Bill sees this achievement in danger.
Green card withdrawal?
Donald Trump's election victory has given the 35-year-old pause for thought. "Waking up in America and knowing that this is now the reality is really tough," he said in an interview with RTL. The possibility that the Republican, who won votes with xenophobic slogans, could revoke his green card worries him. "I hope that doesn't happen! Imagine if I get kicked out next. Anything is possible."
Fingers crossed for once
Many people in the USA are facing an uncertain future, as Bill Kaulitz emphasizes. "That's the fear everyone has. There are just crazy people in power, and not just in America, but worldwide." He hopes that everything turns out well - a pious hope.
"Tomorrow you don't know what will happen."
In the podcast "Kaulitz Hills - Mustard from Hollywood", he told his brother Tom that he had expected Trump to win. "I was sure he was going to win. I'm not shocked that he won, I'm shocked that it's come to this." Tom emphasizes the importance of living in the here and now, and Bill agrees: "Tomorrow you don't know what's going to happen."
