Anna and Gerald Heiser, known from the reality show 'Bauer sucht Frau', run a farm in Namibia. But the idyllic life as farmers is often harder than it seems. In a candid Instagram post, Anna Heiser describes the current challenges the couple have to overcome.
From a TV dream to a fight for survival
"Two years of drought, insane interest rate hikes, faulty water metering, broken crops, bad prices are just part of our everyday life," writes Anna. These external influences have repeatedly thwarted the couple's plans and make everyday life a constant struggle.
The strain is also felt emotionally. Anna reports that she and Gerald are often unable to sleep, even though the children are with their grandparents and they have the opportunity to rest. "We don't need to say anything to know what the other is thinking about," she explains. The farm's financial income has collapsed, making the future uncertain.
Heiser family launches final plan
But giving up is not an option for the Heisers. "We're not ready for the door to close completely yet and are keeping our foot in the door," Anna assures us. They are talking about one last plan that they want to try out in the hope that it will be successful. "Because we won't leave the field without a fight," she emphasizes resolutely.
