Only the German Pius Paschke jumped better than Deschwanden with jumps of 144 and 138 meters. The Swiss landed at 142.5 and 136.5 meters. Deschwanden made it onto the podium for the fourth time in the World Cup; he finished second for the third time (in addition to a third place).
